First of Distinguished Alumni Series in Delhi: April 12, 2016

Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai and Columbia Alumni Association of India held the first edition of the Distinguished Alumni Series in Delhi: "Saving the Internet," a conversation with Apar Gupta (LAW '09), and moderated by Ravina Aggarwal, Director, Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai.

The talk focused around why Facebook’s Free Basics program, available in 37 countries around the world, would fail in India? And, why does Net Neutrality matter in a country with such low rates of Internet penetration? Apar is well-reputed for his work on Internet freedom. He practices law in New Delhi as a litigator. His practice areas include technology and media for which he was listed in Forbes 30 under 30.
